About Villa Mahem
The house features four bedrooms and comfortably accommodates up to nine guests. Generous social spaces, several balconies and verandas facing the lake, and a separate pavilion by the shoreline create an extraordinary setting for gatherings, rest and unforgettable views.

Villa Manhem – A rare Victorian merchant villa
Villa Manhem is one of only a handful of preserved Victorian merchant villas in the Lake Vänern archipelago. Built by a wealthy Swedish merchant around the turn of the 20th century, the villa reflects a distinctive era when Sweden’s business elite created grand summer homes across the archipelago.

A large country-style kitchen connects to an expansive dining room seating more than ten guests.
The bright open lounge with fireplace invites for relaxation and movie nights. Adjacent lies a beautiful library with a sofa bed for two, along with bathroom, WC and laundry room. A covered lakeside veranda extends the living space outdoors – ideal for breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the water.

On the top floor you will find three charming bedrooms with seven additional beds:
• Master bedroom with double bed
• Twin bedroom with balcony and panoramic lake views
• Bedroom with bunk bed and single bed
All bedrooms except one have direct access to balconies or verandas facing the lake.

On the beach beside the house stands a stunning Victorian lake pavilion with an extraordinary dining room. From here you enjoy sweeping views over the archipelago and the world’s largest Picasso sculpture located on the peninsula directly across the water.
